Hello Phil and Heather,
From Canberra, Australia we send our blessings on your first international journey to Taiwan. I can relate to the heat issue, we moved from Indiana to Canberra in early June. In Indiana, it was stifling humidity and temps in the 90's while we packed. Clair, (my husband) was outdoors lifting and sorting through items in all that heat.) When we arrived in Australia, we were in winter. The chilliness was a blessing, and it really isn't what we think of as Winter. Not like Massachusetts or Indiana, so we're happy to escape the heat for a while. Summers here will be quite hot, but not as sticky as northern Australia. My little sister lives in the plummy area of Australia climate-wise, the Sun-Coast of Queensland.
We are house-sitting for a couple from church.
Looking forward to learning about how you experience your new country.
